The Labour Institute of the Greek General Confederation of Labour (INE / GSEE)

The Labour Institute of the Greek General Confederation of Labour (INE/GSEE) was established in 1990 with the aim to systematically contribute to the social and political intervention of the Greek labour movement based on scientific justification.

The strategy of INE / GSEE mainly aims at scientifically supporting the Greek General Confederation of Labour through the preparation of reports and studies on labour and employees’ issues.

Specifically, the goal of the Human Resource Development Sector of INE is to develop and communicate know-how concerning the educational system, the development of occupational profiles, the continuing vocational training system and lifelong learning, socially vulnerable groups, trade union training, and adult education and training (educational theories, educational methods/techniques, development of educational material, etc.), within the framework of Community Initiatives and Programs (EQUAL, YOUTHSTART, NOW, ADAPT, Leonardo Da Vinci, Grundtvig etc).

INE/GSEE also participates as a representative of GSEE in all the social partners’ negotiations regarding employment policies, vocational training and labour market in European (as representatives of GSEE in ETUC), national, regional, and local level. INE/GSEE participates also in strong European networks in Vocational Education & Training as EVTA and EVBB.


DOCK – Social Solidarity Economy Zone

DOCK – Social Solidarity Economy Zone, is a non-profit organisation founded in 2017, from 12 young people active in the Social Solidarity Economy sector. 6 members are paid staff and 6 nonpaid who are actively participate on a weekly basis. Each one has previous experience in the area of SSE as members of cooperatives, researchers, consultants, trainers and promoters.

DOCK – Social Solidarity Economy Zone, is a non-profit organisation founded in 2017, from 12 young people active in the Social Solidarity Economy sector. 6 members are paid staff and 6 nonpaid who are actively participate on a weekly basis. Each one has previous experience in the area of SSE as members of cooperatives, researchers, consultants, trainers and promoters.

DOCK envisions SSE as an economic model that incorporates initiatives organized on the basis of collective ownership, management and work with democratic decisions and control. A model based on human needs and the specific circumstances and needs of the local region, an alternative market that contains sustainable and stable initiatives.

DOCK’s mission is to contribute to the visibility of SSE in Greece by organising public events and congresses, to empower SSE new initiatives by providing information, educational programs, customised consulting, seminars and tools but also through networking and the development of collaborations with other ventures.


Mouvement pour l’économie solidaire Occitanie (Adepes)

The Mouvement pour l’économie solidaire Occitanie, led by the association Adepes, is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 and linked to the social and solidarity economy (SSE) sector (agreement September 2018 with the Mouvement pour l’Economie Solidaire France). In an original way, the Movement for the Solidarity Economy Occitanie brings together non-profit organisations, citizens and companies around a common project. The project consists in promoting economic democracy, citizenship and civic participation and impleme{“type”:”block”,”srcIndex”:8,”srcClientId”:”7c9d9706-1972-44c2-a649-050f37f33b45″,”srcRootClientId”:””}nting these missions with a total commitment to the ecological, economic and democratic transition.

ADEPES is a co-founder of the French Movement for the Solidarity Economy and RIPESS Europe (http://www.ripess.eu)

MES Occitanie is a very reactive and agile organization and we try to meet the specific needs of territories and individuals in transition. We obtain management based on collective ownership (copresidency) regarding the decision and democratic control.


ENAIP Veneto

Born in 1951, ENAIP Veneto is a social enterprise operating in the vocational training field. Providing its services to about 4.500 pupils and 2.200 adults every year, it is one of the main organizations operating in the VET sector in Italy, both at a regional and national level. ENAIP VENETO I.S.’s mission is to enhance professional development and social integration through work, the growth of local economies and labour organizations.

Our organisation is present locally with its 20 training centres and 320 permanent employees, as well as internationally, as a member of EVTA (European Vocational Education and Training Association) and of EVBB (Europäische Verband Beruflicher Bildungsträger), two of the main networks operating on the VET field. Since 2017, we are also members of ALDA, the European Association for Local Democracy: its main aim is to promote good governance and citizen participation at a local level in Europe and its neighbouring areas.

ENAIP particularly stands out for its multiculturalism: our students, both young and adults, come from more than 70 different countries. A single educational system for 70 different cultures means enriched perspectives and practices, as well as experience to achieve integration and social inclusion.


Ekumenická akademie/Ecumenical Academy (EA)

Ekumenická akademie/Ecumenical Academy (EA) is an NGO established in 1996 in the Czech Republic and our vision is a socially just, sustainable and tolerant society. EA works on human rights and finding solutions for economic, social, gender and ethnic inequalities.

EA supports alternative forms of economic democracy, such as social solidarity economy (SSE), fair trade, cooperatives. EA is organizing campaigns, conferences, seminars, round tables, discussions, publications, happenings and information stands to raise awareness about these issues. EA is active in networking with partner institutions in the Czech Republic as well as throughout the whole of Europe.

EA is a founding member of the Czech Development Cooperation Forum, Czechia Against Poverty (GCAP campaign), Fairtrade Czech and Slovakia, Czech Climate Coalition, Czech Social Watch Coalition, Czech Clean Clothes Campaign, Czech Fairtrade Towns Campaign and newly also a member of Czech Women’s Lobby. EA is also a member of international networks – Eurodad (European Network on Debt and Development), OIKOSNET Europe (Ecumenical Association of Academies and Laity Centres) and RIPESS Europe (Social Solidarity Economy network).

In the last years, EA’s main projects were dealing with SDGs focusing especially on topics as ethical consumption, food sovereignty, climate change, social solidarity economy. EA’s approach is to show the interconnection of global and local issues.


Green Network

Green Network is a practice-oriented organization with the main focus on sustainable solutions, education and design; advocacy, promotion and development of just and fair social and economic systems and appropriate technologies.

It is one of the nine Centres of knowledge for social development in Croatia — area sustainable living and permaculture development. Periods of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development choose those nine organisation after they through different forms of evaluation have proven their quality and profiled their activities through institutional, organisational and programme development, high level of networking in their area of activity, and/or involvement of volunteers and citizens in their activities, expertise through conducted research and quality models of knowledge transfer in the Republic of Croatia, and through international development aid.

Our main project is the creation of eco-social educational centre near Zagreb called Recycled Estate. We use highly democratic ways of decision-making and run the whole place as a living and educational cooperative.

Green Network has been working for many years’ on general permaculture education and new initiatives support, but also in-depth on many sub-areas such as sustainable and solidarity food systems, natural building materials and techniques, a good and fair economy and other which opened to us many options for cooperation and networking.
